pub struct PduBuilder {
pub event_type: TimelineEventType,
pub content: Content,
pub unsigned: Option<BTreeMap<String, Value>>,
pub state_key: Option<StateKey>,
pub redacts: Option<OwnedEventId>,
pub timestamp: Option<MilliSecondsSinceUnixEpoch>,
}Expand description
Collects the initial fields needed to build and append a PDU.
The timeline service supplies event graph fields, sender data, and hashes after this value is created. Constructors serialize typed Ruma event content.
Fields§
§event_type: TimelineEventTypeMatrix event type for the new PDU.
Typed constructors derive this value from the supplied event content.
content: ContentRaw canonical content for the new event.
The builder retains encoded content until the PDU is assembled and signed.
unsigned: Option<BTreeMap<String, Value>>Unsigned metadata to include with the new event.
Typical values include local transaction IDs and prior-state metadata.
state_key: Option<StateKey>State key for a state event.
A missing key identifies a message-like timeline event.
redacts: Option<OwnedEventId>Event ID targeted by a redaction.
The value becomes the legacy top-level redacts field. Callers place a
content-based redaction target in the encoded content separately.
timestamp: Option<MilliSecondsSinceUnixEpoch>Overrides the event timestamp for appservice messaging.
An absent value uses the current time when the PDU is built. Ordinary callers should leave this field unset.
Implementations§
Source§impl Builder
impl Builder
Sourcepub fn state<S, T>(state_key: S, content: &T) -> Self
pub fn state<S, T>(state_key: S, content: &T) -> Self
Builds a state-event template from typed event content.
The content’s event type and supplied state key populate the corresponding builder fields. Remaining optional fields use their defaults.
§Panics
Panics if the event content cannot be serialized as raw JSON.
Sourcepub fn timeline<T>(content: &T) -> Selfwhere
T: MessageLikeEventContent,
pub fn timeline<T>(content: &T) -> Selfwhere
T: MessageLikeEventContent,
Builds a message-like event template from typed event content.
The content’s event type populates the builder and the state key remains absent. Remaining optional fields use their defaults.
§Panics
Panics if the event content cannot be serialized as raw JSON.

§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().
use yansi::Paint;

builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling [Attribute] value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().
use yansi::Paint;

fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi [Quirk] value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the [Condition] value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);§impl<T> PolicyExt for Twhere
